The Story of Dad’s Records
I spent nearly 20 years in the forces before being pensioned out due to injury. Following this, I worked in the engineering sector before becoming a single, full time dad four years ago. In order to have a good work life balance a very good friend of mine suggested I start selling vinyl records as a means of a living. At this point, I almost had heart failure, as I thought they meant sell MY record and music collection, which I have been adding to vigorously since I’d bought my first album, A Night at the Opera by Queen, in 1976. I know, I know, I should really have kept that quiet and to myself as it shows my age a bit, but what can I say?
Needless to say, that is not what they meant, so I decided to “give it a try” and see what happened. That was in early 2011 and I haven’t looked back.
I do not profess to be an expert in all aspects of music, but I am still an avid collector and willing to learn. Everyday I learn something new. It helps of course, that the people I meet whilst “working” are willing to share their knowledge with me.
What I offer here is a personal service. I buy collections of music on Vinyl and Cd format, from small to very large.
